Account Deletion on Wellkauf

If you no longer wish to use Wellkauf, you can delete your account at any time.
We’ve made this process simple, secure, and easy to understand for all users.

🔹 How to delete your account

1. Log in to your profile.
2. Go to Profile Settings.
3. Click Delete Profile.

Deletion confirmation

• If your account was registered with a phone number, you will receive an SMS or call with a confirmation code. Once you enter the code, your account will be deleted.
• If you registered using only an email address, the deletion will happen immediately, without phone number confirmation.

After deletion, you will be invited to complete a short survey — it takes less than a minute and helps us improve Wellkauf. Participation is optional.

🔹 What happens after deletion

Once your account is deleted:
• Your account is permanently removed from our database.
• We do not store your personal data and cannot restore your profile after deletion.

🗑️ The following data is completely deleted:

• Login data (e.g. Google, Facebook)
• All active user sessions
• Registered phone numbers
• Geolocation data
• Notification settings
• Saved searches
• Payment history
• Favorite listings
• Followers and subscriptions
• User reports
• Profile status change history
• Pending reviews from other users
• Draft listings

🔒 The following data is anonymized:

• Your name, surname, and email address are replaced with neutral placeholders so they can no longer be linked to you.
• IP addresses (used during registration and last login) are completely deleted.
• Privacy and visibility settings are reset.
• All your listings receive the status DELETED — they are no longer visible on the site but are temporarily stored in the archive.

🗂️ Data that remains in the system

Some information is kept to ensure proper service operation and platform security:
• Chats and messages with other users
• Previously sent notifications
• History of used promo codes
• Reviews received and written by the user
• Account deletion survey (used only for internal analysis and service improvement)

⚠️ Important

Once your account is deleted, it cannot be restored.
If you decide to return, you will need to create a new profile.
